To kick off the new school year and welcome Seth Low's incoming class of 6th graders, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) in partnership with the school's leadership, teachers, staff, and United Community Schools hosted a movie night on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. It was a collaborative team effort to transform the auditorium into a movie theater complete with popcorn, refreshments, snacks, and a movie of their choice, "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (based on a survey that the PTA prepared and was circulated during morning meeting by the school). The students had a great time (many of whom came with their parents, who also really enjoyed themselves and requested a parents-only movie night, too!). The theme was onesie PJs, and many students came dressed to slumber party movie night it up ... in their new school! :)

IS 96 Seth Low in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, hosted its first in-person school dance since March 2020 (the start of COVID-19 pandemic) on Thursday, December 7, 2023. The dance was organized and ran by Seth Low administration, teachers, and staff, with support from United Community Schools and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). More than 200 students attended from grades 6th, 7th, and 8th (in good academic standing and PRIDE points). The "Winter Wonderland" theme brought joy to so many happy faces - it was truly a team effort that turned out great!
